Shenzhen University Town is located on the Bank of Xili Lake in Nanshan, Shenzhen. At present, it covers an area of 1.54 square kilometers. Surrounded by green mountains, Dasha River passes through the city. The construction of Shenzhen university town began in 2002, and the construction of teaching infrastructure was basically completed in September 2003. By the end of 2016, the West Campus of the university city had completed a total construction area of 508900 square meters and a total investment of 2244.9 million yuan (including social investment of 100 million yuan and financing of 100 million yuan).

Shenzhen University Town is the only graduate school group in China approved by the Ministry of education and jointly organized by Shenzhen local government and famous universities to train full-time graduate students. It was established in August 2000. At present, Shenzhen University Town has Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School was established on the basis of Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School and Tsinghua Berkeley Shenzhen college. Shenzhen Graduate School, founded in 2001, has made many positive contributions in exploring higher education reform and serving local economic and social development; Tsinghua Berkeley Shenzhen college, established in 2014, has explored useful experience in high-level and in-depth international cooperation in running schools, which has laid a strong foundation for the establishment and development of international graduate schools.
In the new historical period, the state plans to promote the construction of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay area and promote the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening-up. Dawan district should "build a highland of education and talents" and "build an international education demonstration area, introduce world-famous universities and characteristic colleges, and promote the construction of world-class universities and first-class disciplines". In order to serve national needs and boost regional development, Tsinghua University and Shenzhen Municipal People's government signed an agreement on November 4, 2016 to jointly build the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University. On November 6, 2018, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University, and entrusted the international graduate school with the mission of making full use of Shenzhen's location advantages and scientific and technological innovation concept, continuously improving the quality of talent training and scientific research level, and making greater contributions to deepening the reform of higher education and serving the national and regional economic and social development. On December 1, 2018, the Municipal School signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement, opening a new chapter. On March 29, 2019, the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University was officially unveiled.
Introduction to Shenzhen University Town International Conference Center
Shenzhen University Town International Conference Center is a professional conference and activity platform managed by the University Town Management Office. It was officially opened on September 27, 2019, and the trial operation period is from September 27, 2019 to September 27, 2020.
The conference center has five floors, two underground floors and three above ground floors (including mezzanine). The building is 22.95m high, covers an area of 7468.8m2 and a construction area of 23716.8m2. It has five large and small conference halls, and is equipped with supporting functional areas such as stage, dressing room, VIP reception room and office. The first and second floors are mainly conference functional areas, the mezzanine is a rest and discussion area, and the third floor is an office area. The underground 1-2 floors are parking lots, with a total of 238 parking spaces, of which 70 parking spaces are equipped with electric vehicle charging piles.
